Troubleshooting
Dropping Leading “0”
Overview: In some instances, a user is seeing regularly the Linea scanner (QR Capable) drop the first digit from the scanned UPC. But only a leading 0 not if it’s a leading 1 or 2.
Infinite Peripherals provided the following solution:
To resolve this issue, the QR code below should be scanned using the IPCSupport app on the iphone.
Prepended “0”
Overview: In some instances, a user is seeing regularly scanned barcodes being presented as a new item because an additional “0” is being added to the barcode. This is configuration issue within the Linea Scanner and can be corrected by doing the following:
Step 1: Download the IPCSupport Application
Step 2: Print the following barcode on paper, or enlarge it on a separate device to allow your linea scanner to capture this code.
Step 3: Open the IPCSupport Application and scan the Barcode. An Unknown type of barcode will show on pop-up.
Step 4: Press OK to close the pop-up and try scanning a sample barcode, or code that did not previously work. It should have removed the first 0 on the barcode. Go back to your app and test to see if the configurations remains.
Prepended “E00”
Overview: It has been identified that some users who recently updated the application while using Linea Pro 7 devices are experiencing an issue where UPC codes are given a prefix of “E00” when scanned, resulting as all items appearing as new.
Please only do the following if you are seeing extra characters when using your LP7 Scanner, resulting in items coming in as New with the updated version of the BevCount application.
The issue resides within the scanner itself and can be resolved by scanning this single code with your LP7 Scanner. The above code reconfigures the scan data format to capture the data as-is, removing the prefix.
In some additional instances, a user needed to scan the code and then power cycle their scanners for the change to take place.
ITF-14 Barcode Issues
Overview: These barcodes are generally used on packaging levels of products, such as a case of 24 cans, that all individually contain their own UPC or EAN ID numbers. The ITF-13 will always encode 14 digits. ITF is the abbreviation for “Interleaved Two of Five”, and is the widely used standard for printed code for cardboard box applications.
Guide :
Enable/Disable QR Code
Overview: The Linea Pro 7 Series 2D models have the ability to scan QR codes, which can be an issue when the code sits near the barcode you are attempting to scan.
