Overview

Classifications, Categories, and Qualities are the hierarchical structures for identifying particular types of liquor. All items within the Sculpture platform will be classified in this manner.

Dashboard > Classifications > Categories and Qualities

Note:

You can make changes to where an item appears within reports by changing an item’s Class, Category, or Quality. Reordering your class, category, or quality will reorder your report data.


View vs. Edit Mode

View Mode:

Within View Mode, you can only Expand and Collapse the Class, Category, and Quality.

Edit Mode

Within Edit Mode, you have the ability to make changes to the Classes, Category, and Qualities. This will impact the item database and how data is grouped on reports.

PRO TIP:

Within Edit Mode, a user can move and reorder their classes and categories, which then reorders the data on reports.


Hierarchy

The hierarchy goes: Classifications at the top, then Categories, and lastly Qualities, each getting more specific.

For example:

Liquor -> Vodka -> Well

Beer -> Domestic -> Bottle


Navigation

Classification is the highest and broadest level of an item. It can be found on the left-hand tab of the sculpture site. Classifications encompass groupings such as Liquor, Wine, Beer, etc.

Once you’re logged into the online dashboard, Click the Classifications tab on the left, and then select Categories.

A Category is the next highest level of an item. It is just below Classifications.

A Category contains sub-groupings of inventory items within a Classification You can click on the (+) button to expand a Classification to see what exists within.

Qualities are the lowest level of an item. They encompasses such things as Default, Well, Imported, Etc. You can expand Qualities by clicking on the (+) button
